MX – International Czech Woman Championship
Elena Kapsamer
Finally, Sunday was the day! The first race after the outbreak of the corona pandemic took place in Dalecin, Czech Republic! The race was the first race of the International CZ Championship and the first race after the outbreak of Corona in Europe. Therefore riders came from all over Europe. Elena achieved the second-best time in qualification training. Considering the long break due to her injury last year that was more than you could expect.

Elena achieved the second-best time in qualification
training.
Race 1: Elena got off to a good start and turned second or third into the first corner. In the first lap she was able to overtake the two riders in front of her and lead the field in the CZ championship for the first time. Elena was able to hold this position halfway through the race before Kristyna Vitkova overtook her. In second place, she also finished.

After a crash Elena finished the race on position 3.

Turbulent 2nd race: Incredibly good start again! This time Elena was able to go into the first round at position 2. Elena attacked immediately and wanted to pass the leader at a double jump. Unfortunately, she collided with her and
crashed! Then great catch up which secured her an overall result on position 3 and the fastest race lap. Not so bad for the season restart!

Elena will continue to spend as many hours as possible on the bike for the next few weeks to continuously improve her speed.
